OS and Embedded Software

Customized XP platform
Customized XP platform with drivers necessary only for the hardware used on board. This eliminates all un-wanted services and modules from being launched.

Right sized application
Streme player version is optimized to take advantage of all on board hardware features. Components are selected carefully before applying.

Embedded Player system
The Embedded player and OS resides on a 512 MB Flash/DOM. Options for content storage are USB pen drive, Hard disk, USB hard disk, etc. With solid performance of the embedded OS the point of failure can be the secondary storage, something that can be easily replaced.

Kiosk Mode
The default windows explorer GUI is replaced by streme application. Only essential services are activated, improving reliability of the system.

Thin client mode
Thin client technology is not suited for digital signage applications as it is very network dependent. In more than one installation when we faced these issues, We have decided to phase out our thin client offering an d instead replace them small form factor boxes of low speed with 1 GB local storage. These are effective replacements for your banquet displays.

Direct OEM Support
Direct OEM Support is available on boards from VIA.

Reliability
The board is sourced directly from VIA technologies, the leaders in small form factor and thin client hardware. Most thin client manufacturers use VIA chipsets to make boxes.

Global procurement and support
With all components sourced internationally, providing sales and support is very simple. Goods are goods being shipped from Mfg directly to Niche distributor offices worldwide, avoiding any hardware shipments from India.

Partner support
Our partner provides support at multiple global locations. With increasing rollouts, we stock controllers for replacement at their offices. The hardware engineer has to simply replace the controller on site. There are no hardware services that have to be provided apart from checking cables and network.

Optimum CPU power
The board comes in speeds of 1.3 GHz and 1.5 GHz versions. Customized Windows XP OS

On board graphic accelerator
With a Mpeg 2 Decoder built in, experience DVD quality playback without overloading the CPU. With embedded drivers, the graphics performance is stunning as compared to standard graphics boards.

On board encryption technology
Making use of padlock technology for encryption, Streme is able to provide protection against content unauthorized content tampering. With HASP, the content encryption key resides inside the dongle, making it next to impossible to break the security.

Hardware upgrades by Mfg
The Bios version, chipset and other associated hardware does not change for the lifetime of the particular product model, providing relaibility to the system. We have no control over the life cycle of multiple brands and models. With embedded XP customized for the particular hardware board, it is not possible to keep changing the XP image.

Tweaking of BIOS
To improve reliability of the system, we have tweaked the on board BIOS. This is done with specific understanding of the VIA architecture. It is not possible to repeat this exercise for low volumes of less than 1000 units.

Network ready
Designed as a network appliance, the controller senses itself on the network. All parameters are controlled using the network protocols, eliminating the need for on-site network config using keyboard and mouse devices.

Cabinet and power supply

Small size form factor
The cabinet small form factor fits into 8X10 X 2 inches size. Small enough to fit into concealed spaces.
The board form factor is even smaller.

DC Power supply
External Laptop type DC power supply eliminates heating within the cabinet and improves reliability.

Low-power consumption
Power consumption is as low as 50 watts. Low power means low heating which in turn means more reliability.

Wide range of players built for 24X7 operations

Streme players are built on robust industry standard hardware and software operating systems. Streme digital signage software is tested for various scenarios to provide 24X7 reliability and rapid scalability.

Streme Lite Controllers


	Media controllers capable of playing content stored on 1 GB flash cards. Typical applications include low end displays like electronic notice boards or display with very less dynamic content.

Streme Multiplex controllers


	Built for general deployment on Intel Celeron processors with graphics accelerator cards, These controllers provide unparalleled flexibility in providing TV out, Component TV out, Vertical layouts, Communication control etc. These are typically used for “Mywalls” and other special digital signage requirements.

Streme Hyper Controllers


	Built for demanding special applications, these industry grade hyper controllers are capable of providing HDTV output, DVI- out for applications like video-walls etc. Built on Windows XP platform, these controllers are designed for demanding graphics applications. These are typically used to power Infowalls, high end 3-D applications etc.

Streme Media Controllers


	Built with 1 Ghz motherboards and local storage upto 40 GB, These small footprint controllers are deployed where right sized multi media content displays are to be installed. Some features like Live TV, vertical layouts, heavy multi media content are not supported on these controllers. Streme Media and Lite controllers are available with built-in integrated display panels as an option. With a small form factor, these players can be mounted behind most commercially available displays like Plasmas, LCD screens etc. This reduces the time for deployment and eliminates cabling requirements entirely.
